MAAS (Match, Attach and Sustain) develops new methods and upskills Europe’s Job Brokers

Innovative methods and tools to enhance job brokerage and employment counseling

As Europe emerges from Covid, it faces challenges in politics, society, and economy, including the illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine, displacement of populations, rising living costs, and unemployment. The tourism sector, a vital part of Europe’s economy, has been heavily impacted by Covid, with lockdowns affecting international travel. As the sector recovers, it grapples with changing customer demands and persistent labor shortages. Employment counselors and job brokers play a crucial role in bridging the gap, but they now encounter new challenges, such as evolving sector needs, technological advancements, and the urgent issues arising from the Ukrainian situation.

The MAAS partnership, formed under Erasmus+, brings together organizations from the tourism sector, public employment services, and education to address these challenges. The partnership aims to develop innovative methods and tools to enhance job brokerage and employment counseling. Additionally, the MAAS partners are driven by common EU values and a commitment to democracy, peace, unity, and diversity. They prioritize supporting the Ukraine refugee population through their services and aim to establish a resilient network for cooperation with and for Ukraine, focusing on post-conflict social and economic reconstruction.
